Hot Dip Galvanizing

Hot Dip Galvanizing is the plating of choice for outdoor applications. This process is carried out by submerging steel parts in a bath of liquid zinc. Once the parts are taken out of the zinc bath, the zinc solidifies and produces an anticorrosion barrier. What's more, the molten zinc fuses with the steel in coats, making the layer of zinc practically impermeable to the elements.

Also, zinc has a self-sacrificing characteristic; in the event that steel is exposed on a Hot Dip Galvanized part, the iron and zinc will react together and cover the area with zinc chloride.

Galvano's equipment includes centrifugal baskets with 16" diameters and 24" depth and a 360 cubic feet zinc bath. This equipment allows Hot Dip Galvanizing on products measuring up to 2" diameter (50 mm) and up to 30" long (760 mm).
